In 2018, Mayor Kerr created a Mayor's Advisory Committee for Sustainability, which has since morphed into our only citizen-run, non-profit organization located within the city. Two years ago, with the help of the Monterey Peninsula Stormwater Management Program and Save the Whole, Sustainable Del Rey Oaks created a Butterfly Garden on a small piece of vacant city land.
