St. Peters has an amazing Parks system, with 27 Parks and over 30 miles of paved trails. St. Peters has committed to saving the monarch butterfly and other pollinators with land stewardship work in the city. Though the management of our natural areas, parkland, trails, and community gardens along with signing of the Mayors' Monarch Pledge, we look forward to engaging our community in building more pollinator habitats.

As a Sustainable Jersey Silver Certified community, Secaucus actively maintains pollinator-friendly gardens and encourages the planting of native milkweed to support monarch butterfly migration. Mayor Gonnelli is committed to protecting the monarch butterfly and other pollinators, having signed the Mayor's Monarch Pledge. He looks forward to involving residents in expanding pollinator habitats throughout the town.

The City of Hoboken is a mile square municipality in northern New Jersey with a population of approximately 60,000 residents. Located directly across the Hudson River from New York City, Hoboken is home to 35 parks encompassing more than 53 acres of open space, as well as two community gardens. Mayor Emily B. Jabbour has demonstrated the City of Hoboken’s commitment to environmental stewardship with plans to expand public open space by approximately 6.5 acres in the coming years and by signing the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge, affirming her dedication to protecting the monarch butterfly and other important pollinators. The City looks forward to continuing its efforts to expand and enhance pollinator habitats throughout Hoboken.

The City of West Hollywood is dedicated to sustainability and preserving our environment. Sustainability means thinking about our behavior in a bigger context and recognizing that the choices we make have a profound effect on our future. The City encourages residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to do their part to be a sustainable community. In the past, the City has established two Certified Wildlife Habitats through the Garden for Wildlife program of the National Wildlife Federation. Signing on to the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge is in line with the City’s goals of becoming healthier, greener, and more wildlife and pollinator-friendly.

City of Mountain View

The City of Mountain View is looking forward to participating in its fifth year of the Mayor's Monarch Pledge and continuing our efforts to support the monarch population in Mountain View. The City plans to plant pollinators and milkweed in a sensitive habitat area at Shoreline Regional Park. We will also continue to maintain the existing pollinator habitats that have been planted in recent years through having volunteers remove invasive weeds and replace any dead plants. The City will also continue our Seed Library Program where pollinator seeds are provided to the library from the various pollinator habitats that have been created. Lastly, Mountain View will continue the process of creating a Biodiversity and Urban Forestry Plan that is expected to be completed in 2026.

Southampton Village is a Village on eastern Long Island with a population of approximately 4,500. As we are on the Monarch Butterfly's flyway, the Village is interested in creating awareness amongst our population and providing an environment that will aid them in their migratory journey. In our second pledge year we will continue to incorporate milk weed and other pollinator plants throughout the Village and parks.

Flagstaff, Arizona is a city of roughly 78,000 people located at the base of the San Francisco Peaks in Northern Arizona. Surrounded by national forest land and boundless outdoor recreation opportunities, Flagstaff is also home to 3 city run community gardens and a thriving network of organizations involved in food systems. In 2026, Mayor Becky Daggett has committed to a 6th year of pollinator preservation through educational programs, dedicated pollinator gardens, green spaces, and invasives removal efforts. We deeply value our partnerships with schools, educators, businesses, county, and state programs; all of which share this dedication in maintaining our pollinator and monarch programs.

Established in 1833, and incorporated as a City in 1933, the City of Grandville is located along the Grand River in Kent County, Michigan, southwest of Grand Rapids, and bisected by the beautiful Buck Creek tributary of the Grand. The Mayors' Monarch Pledge is a perfect extension of the Growing a Greener Grandville effort the Environmental Sustainability Committee began in November 2023 to certify the city as a Community Wildlife Habitat. The Pledge will help us focus the city's 16,000 residents on specific projects and actions they can take to create and conserve habitat for the Monarch Butterfly and the many other amazing pollinators and creatures that need our thoughtful stewardship for their very survival.
