The City of Cincinnati has approximately 301,000 citizens. Cincinnati Parks manages five regional parks, 70 neighborhood parks, 34 natural areas, five nature centers, an arboretum, a plant conservatory, nine scenic overlooks, 50 miles of hiking and bridle trails and more. The city has already worked hard throughout these parks to provide pollinator habitat. We are committed to working towards monarch conservation and will work with local non-profits such as Queen City Pollinator Project to meet and exceed pledge requirements for education and planting, as well as monarch tracking with Journey North.

Located in Chicago’s Northwest Side, the 36th Ward includes the neighborhoods of Belmont Cragin, Hermosa, Portage Park, Galewood, Schorsch Village and Montclare Park. As the local leader, Alderman Villegas believes in action driven solutions to address climate change and the loss of pollinators. Alderman Villegas has submitted a Resolution to Chicago's City Council and looks forward to implementing local community solutions and city-wide initiatives to help the beautiful monarch butterfly survive and thrive in the City and hopefully across the country.

The Charter Township of Royal Oak is a small township nestled between the cities of Oak Park and Ferndale. The population is 2500 and we are a proud, close knit community. Supervisor Squalls of Royal Oak Township has committed to saving the monarch butterfly and their pollinators with her signing of the Mayor's Monarch Pledge and looks forward to engaging residents in building more pollinator habitat throughout the community.

South Barrington is a green community with large lot sizes, small lakes, and many trees. A natural conservancy park was established within the Village and within the Conservancy is a butterfly garden that is presently maintained by the South Barrington Garden Club

The City of Del mar is a small coastal town in California with a population of about 4,000 and about 2 square miles of territory. While small, we host 2 million+ visitors per year who come for our beaches, parks, and recreational opportunities. We have a long and proud tradition of environmental awareness and conservation. We have active wildlife and habitat programs, we have some milkweed and would like to do more for monarchs and other pollinators.

The Village of Flower Hill has planted a pollinator garden in the Flower Hill Park. We are currently planning on expanding it and exploring other areas where we can plant native plants that are pollinator friendly.

The Village of Great Neck Plaza is located within the heart of the Great Neck community in western Nassau County on Long Island, New York located near the eastern boundary of Queens, New York City. Great Neck Plaza has a population of approximately 6,900 residents. It has a beautiful and active downtown. It is located within the Great Neck Park District which has a number of beautiful parks. It is also located within the excellent Great Neck Public School District. Great Neck Plaza has numerous retail shops, restaurants and commercial office buildings. Great Neck Plaza is located on the Port Washington branch of the Long Island Railroad and the commute from Great Neck Plaza to midtown Manhattan is one of the best commutes to Manhattan in the New York City metropolitan area. Great Neck Plaza has been, and will continue to be, committed to monarch and pollinator conservation.
