Located in the fast growing I-90 corridor amid the rolling countryside of South-Central Wisconsin Edgerton is home to 14 parks & recreational areas, 1 golf course and tons of gardens (including a community garden) where pollinators are all welcomed. Since 2021, Mayor Christopher Lund of Edgerton, Wisconsin has committed to save the monarch butterfly and other pollinators by signing of the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge. Chris looks forward to engaging residents in building more pollinator habitat throughout the city.

The city of Richland Hills is a small community in the middle of the giants in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. The nearly 9,000 residents are very proud of our small town and county vibe that our city offers. Mayor Lopez approached staff about this opportunity 18 months ago. Since, staff has been adding staff, planning programming and reorganizing the park system to accommodate the execution of fulfilling the tasks of this wonderful program. Our eager citizens already love natural areas and wildlife, so pledging to be a part of the Mayor's Monarch Pledge was an exciting possibility for our community. Richland Hills is excited to add wildflower area, nectar gardens, new programs, and community education to our recreation palette to help increase Monarch habitat.

The City of Mountain View is excited to participate in its second year of the Mayor's Monarch Pledge and plans to build upon the efforts from our first year by maintaining and expanding pollinator habitat, continuing our Seed Library Program, and adopting the Shoreline Wildlife Management Plan that incorporates efforts for helping monarchs and pollinators through maintenance practices and enhancement projects at our regional wildlife refuge and recreation area, Shoreline.

The Town of Southwest Ranches is committed to promoting and protecting the rural lifestyle of our residents while preserving the natural environment. Following through on this commitment, the goals and objectives of Southwest Ranches’ Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Department are to provide benefit to our residents and visitors through exemplary management and maintenance of the Town’s Recreation, Forestry and Natural Resources including public lands, the Town’s Urban Forest, and the diverse wildlife that makes its home here, while cultivating a vibrant community and sense of place. The Town’s Community Wildlife Habitat Program, including our participation in the Mayor's Monarch Pledge program, plays a central role in helping residents address the needs of wildlife in our community. Our Community Wildlife Habitat team works to create awareness through the Town's website, newsletter, and using opportunities for public outreach at annual events.

Bell Acres is a small community located in south western Pennsylvania, 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh Pa There is an abundance of green space in the rolling hills of this boro..Thru a survey done by our Planning Commission for our comprehensive plan, 98% of the residents what to keep the boro green. Council is working hard to follow the comprehensive plan. I think the Mayors for Monarchs program is a way for me to contribute in this effort. I plan to talk to surrounding watershed association, garden clubs and land trusts .about planting milkweed and other nectar rich flowering plants that's my pledge Mayor Alvania

Raton is a small mountain community with a population hovering around 6500 people.Raton is known for its friendly faces, mountain vistas and refreshing mountain waters. The Village has worked extensively to maintain and create green space in conjunction with development, and places emphasis on planting native plants and other pollinator promoting plants when undertaking landscaping and other projects. Mayor Taylor is committed to protecting the Monarch butterfly population and looks forward to continuing to work to promote local pollinators through the Village’s efforts as well as engaging the community about ways they can help the Monarchs at home.

Zionsville is a town of about 30,000 residents located in Central Indiana. Often called a town within a park, Zionsville has preserved over 500 acres of parks, most left in its natural habitats. Along with preserving and restoring our native wetlands, forest and prairie habitats, Mayor Styron has committed to saving the monarch butterfly and other native pollinators by signing the Mayor's Monarch Pledge. The Zionsville community looks forward to continuing to build native habitat throughout Zionsville.
