Trout Valley is a small village, but it is an area of outstanding beauty and of historical importance having been planned by Jens Jensen, the famed landscape designer. Through the activities of our Conservancy Board, we are committed to preserve, restore and enhance the beauty of our natural areas. We are home to a fen, and actively maintain its wetlands, native plants and local wildlife. The Mayor’s Monarch Pledge is consistent with these aims and will add focus to the existing efforts to support native species.

With an estimated population of 2.7 million residents, Miami-Dade County is the most populous county east of Chicago and the seventh largest in the nation by population. Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties comprise the Miami - Fort Lauderdale - Pompano Beach, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), the nation's seventh largest MSA and fourth largest urbanized area, with a total population of nearly 6.2 million. Approximately 424 square miles(excluding bay and coastal waters) of the County are within the urbanized area, while the total county area currently covers a total of 2,431 square miles, bound by Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Everglades National Park to the west, the Florida Keys to the south and Broward County to the north. Miami-Dade County has the unique distinction of being the only metropolitan area in the United States that borders two national parks: Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park. Collectively we champion Pollinator-friendly parks, preserves, and other areas, which include activities such as creating flower-rich habitats, providing places for nesting and egg laying, reducing the use of pesticides in parks and greenspaces; and then engaging park patrons and community members in this important conservation work.

The City of Cave Spring is a small city in NWGA. We have approximately 1200 residents, and our city limits is less than 5 square miles. Our city takes our pollinator conservation to heart. We have a butterfly garden in our square that is part of the Roslyn Carter Butterfly Garden. We have over 55 planters throughout our town with native plants.

City of Grapevine, TX is in the heart of the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex with a population of just over 54,000. Known for its hometown feel, and renowned festivals and events, residents and visitors enjoy over 1,600 acres of parkland, 23 trails, and more than 9 miles of shoreline along Grapevine Lake. Mayor William D. Tate is committed to reversing the decline of the monarch butterfly and other pollinators with the signing of the Mayor’s Monarch Pledge and continues to engage with the people of Grapevine in providing more habitat for these magnificent creatures.

It has a Community Garden and Monarch Butterfly gardens. Sanford is a Monarch City USA, 9th in the State of Florida. We are committed to saving pollinators and the Monarch Butterfly population. We encourage residents to build and create pollinator habitat throughout the City of Sanford.

The beautiful city of Port Isabel is located on the southern part of Texas. Located in the Rio Grande Valley is a tourist destination due to their beautiful lighthouse that was built in 1852. With a population of only 8500 Mayor Martin Cantu Jr is dedicated to helping our community and taking the National Wildlife Mayors Monarch pledge.
