The Village of Ridgefield Park, Bergen County, New Jersey, Settled in 1685, proudly boasts one of the longest continuous Fourth of July parades in the USA. Like this grand country, Ridgefield Park is a rich source of good old American history. Ridgefield Park has a population of approximately 13,300 (5,800 households) and has 1.71 square miles of land. We have a newly constructed nature preserve, two beautiful community gardens and six pollinator gardens. Mayor Anlian committed to saving the monarch butterfly and other pollinators during his tenure with his signing of the Mayors' Monarch Pledge and looks forward to engaging residents in building more pollinator habitats throughout the village. Mayor MacNeill, elected in 2024, continues to support the pledge.

Village of Johnsburg is a beautiful, quaint, and bustling community, the Village of Johnsburg, Illinois welcomes all to the neighborhood, monarch's too for the 3rd annual year! Approximately 7 miles from the Wisconsin border an easily accessible to both Milwaukee and Chicago, Johnsburg is highly sought out by those desiring a more rural lifestyle without sacrificing access to employment, shopping, dining and services. There is something for everyone in our village; from gorgeous views along Pistakee Lake, amazing village parks for recreational activities, to afternoons laughing with friends and family in the backyard, our village is right where you want to be. With around 6,400 residents in the village, you have the opportunity to make great friendships and be part of a growing community. Our village is expanding economically and recreationally, but we’ll never lose sight of our heritage, or give up our connection with nature or hometown values. Village President Edwin P. Hettermann and Trustee/Community Affairs Committee Chair Mike Fouke has committed to saving the monarch butterfly and other pollinators with their signing of the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge for the 3rd annual consecutive year and looks forward to engaging residents in building more pollinator habitat throughout the Village. Further improvements including the resolution for "No Mow May" which adds to an environment-friendly practice that is on the rise in a move to help emerging insects and early season pollinators.

It is approximately twenty (20) miles north of the City of Pittsburgh, encompasses 13.5 square miles, and has a population of 15,500. The Borough has four parks, 280 total acres of protected green space and continues to work on providing natural habitats, gardens, and meadow areas with the commitment to monarch and pollinator conservation. Mayor O’Keefe, Borough Council, and the Borough’s EAC are committed to protecting, preserving, and enhancing natural areas.

The City of Waukesha is a community of approximately 70,000 residents. Residents are committed to protecting the Monarch Butterfly. The Mayor has supported their efforts and that of staff by endorsing the pledge for several years. The City has a Community Butterfly Garden, milkweed plantings and low mow areas to assist the Monarch. Educational sessions are also offered as part of the Arbor Day Celebration and has been incorporated into the Environmental Education Programs.

The Village of Mamaroneck is located in Southern Westchester County, NY. As a Village we pledge to improve the habitat of the Monarch Butterfly by planting native pollinator gardens throughout our Village, planting milkweed gardens and continuing to educate residents on the importance of not using pesticides planting milkweed and native nectar producing plants and leaving the leaves for overwintering insects.
