The City of Carrollton, Texas, located within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, is a suburban city of approximately 135,000 residents. Carrollton was first committed to the conservation of the monarch butterfly and other pollinators with the Mayors' Monarch pledge beginning in 2018 and has been continued forward under Mayor Steve Babick. The city is actively engaged with the community in rebuilding community gardens and other conservation efforts to protect and sustain these pollinators.

Richton Park is establishing its commitment to support local, state and national efforts that protect, restore, and conserve habitats for pollinators, as well as foster a greater connection between residents and wildlife.

Minnetonka is a fully developed suburban community of more than 53,000 residents located eight miles west of Minneapolis. The city’s natural surroundings — including woodlands, prairies, wetlands and other bodies of water — set it apart from similar-sized Twin Cities suburbs and give the community a distinct character. Minnetonka has a long history of habitat protection and restoration, and in 2017 joined the Mayors' Monarch Pledge to focus on actions that benefit monarchs, pollinators and other wildlife on public and private property. Minnetonka has been a Monarch Champion city five times since 2020. The City of Rockwall is located in North Central Texas on the east shore of Lake Ray Hubbard with a population more than 52,000. Mayor Tim McCallum support projects related to our eight Monarch waystations and other pollinators gardens within the Rockwall Parks and Recreation Department and supports the "Go outside and Play" motto.

Phoenicians are committed to the vision of becoming the most sustainable desert city on the planet and have a strong ethos of habitat conservation, wise water use, and support of native plant species. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego signed the Mayor's Monarch Pledge to raise awareness and galvanize efforts to expand crucial habitat and food sources for monarch butterflies. Working together with residents and stakeholders, we can all make a difference for the monarch butterfly and pollinators.

The City of Pharr, with an estimated population of 80,000 residents, is located in the Rio Grande Valley, a crucial part of the migratory route for monarch butterflies traveling to South America. Unfortunately, much of the natural habitat for monarchs and other wildlife has been disturbed due to human development and agriculture. To combat this issue, local officials are working to protect and restore habitats through various initiatives, such as the Keep Pharr Beautiful board, the Tree City USA designation, and the Mayor's Monarch Pledge. These efforts aim to educate the public about the importance of pollinators and their habitats.

Lexington and Fayette County are located in the Inner Bluegrass Region of Central Kentucky. The Lexington Fayette Urban County Government is a merged city/county government that serves the citizens of this community. Lexington is the 2nd largest city in Kentucky and is considered cultural hub for the region. Agriculture and tourism are key industries to the area as we are known as the Horse Capital of the World and internationally known for the bourbon produced locally. Without pollinators these industries that are part of the cultural identity of the Bluegrass State wouldn't exist. Lexington hopes to lead the way for our neighbors across the state in promoting and protecting vulnerable pollinator habitat.
