The city has committed to protecting nature, as noted by being a Tree City USA for over 34 years. To further the City of Northglenn's commitment for preserving our city parks, trails and open spaces, the city has committed time and resources into saving the monarch butterfly and other pollinators with the signing of the Mayor's pledge, pollinator friendly plantings and annual resident education and engagement.

North East is a lovely community with a bustling, small town vibe enhanced by many community green spaces, flowers and gardens. WIth a history and economy shaped by agriculture, North East is committed to working towards creating habitats for Monarch Butterflies and other pollinators. The volunteer community group North East In Bloom has teamed up with Mayor Bobbi Jo Morey to work towards the goals spelled out in the Mayors Monarch Pledge Program. North East, Pa is proud to join this important endeavor.

As the capital city of Louisiana, Baton Rouge is the heart and soul of the state’s eclectic culture. With over 300 years of history, Baton Rouge has a colorful story to tell, which can be tasted through our culinary offerings, seen through the picturesque views of the Mississippi River and historical landmarks and experienced through the vibrant arts and culture scene. In the “Red Stick,” every day is worth celebrating, even more so through our festivals and events held throughout the year. Our City is full of open spaces and parks, which are welcoming for monarch and other conservation efforts, and we look forward to creating a city that contributes to the monarch population.

Rye is a city on Long Island Sound in Westchester County. This city is surprisingly green as a suburban area near the city. It is flourished with numerous trees, parks, and gardens for the public. This commitment compliments the communities already established Pollinator Pathway goals and maitence of monarch habitats. Mayor Cohn is enthusiastic about supporting efforts to aid monarch butterflies as they transit our city.

The Town of Bourne is a small coastal town. It is considered the gateway to Cape Cod in Massachusetts. The residents of Bourne have shown an interest in pollinator gardens and the Bourne Conservation Department is happy to respond with an investment in more pollinator-friendly landscaping around Town and an education campaign for all residents and landscaping companies in town.

The City of Johns Creek has a population of 82,000. The city has made great strides in prioritizing sustainability programs in the last three years. Johns Creek Going Green involves examining our current policies and practices for ways to become more sustainable, prioritizing and protecting our natural amenities here in our City, and taking actions today for the next generation of Johns Creek residents. These practices include planting pollinator gardens and trees in several locations and supporting the efforts of our local Nature Preserve.

Cedar Falls is a city in North East Iowa with a population of roughly 41,000. The City is home to the University of Northern Iowa, one of the three regent universities in the state, and widely recognized for it's endearing mix of bigger city amenities with a small town feel. A nationally recognized downtown and eclectic mix of both urban and rural living lend toward a feeling of home whether you've lived here all your life or are just visiting. But a part of that feeling is only possible because of the balance of city life and natural beauty that Cedar Falls has. Mayor Danny Laudick has committed to ensuring we protect our natural spaces, and part of that commitment includes protecting the native environment and wellbeing of our monarch butterfly and other pollinator species.
