Pledge Summary

Oakland Park, Florida, is a proud, environmentally conscious community dedicated to sustainability and protecting local wildlife. Under the leadership of Mayor Tim Lonergan, the City has joined the National Wildlife Federation’s Mayor’s Monarch Pledge to help save the monarch butterfly. Mayor Lonergan is committed to preserving pollinator habitats and promoting native plantings throughout public spaces. Oakland Park is expanding its efforts to support monarchs through native landscaping, pollinator gardens, and community education.
