City Of Newport

Newport, KY

Thomas Guidugli, Jr.

Mayor

Pledge Summary

Newport, KY--Today’s Newport is a hotbed of development and redevelopment. The east side has been transformed into the East Row Historic District, a place where homes have been returned to their original historic state. Community pride can be seen on every corner of our city as preservation and new investment continues. Tourist attractions such as the Newport Aquarium, World Peace Bell, Hofbrau House and Newport on the Levee bring many visitors each year. Newport is also becoming a home for unique shops, cafes, and independent businesses. Our riverfront community is now brimming with dining options and festivities. For all that it has become, the best is yet to come for Newport. The Mayors’ Monarch Pledge is a worthy endeavor which we are excited to participate. Our community is committing to creating habitat for the monarch butterfly and other pollinators, and to educate residents about how they can make a difference at home and in their community. Our city in conjunction with a strong volunteer community has taken bold steps to green our city through continuous tree planting over many years.
