Pledge Summary

The Village of Seville is located in Northeastern Ohio, in the south-central quadrant of Medina County. The community is approximately 40 miles from Cleveland and 20 miles from Akron. Communities within 30 Miles of the Village of Seville. Interstate 71 and Interstate 76 provide convenient access. State Route 3 is a major north-south arterial that links Seville north to the City of Medina and Cleveland, and south to Wooster and beyond. Much of the development attraction within the Village of Seville can be attributed to the area’s accessibility to many of the region’s employment centers, cultural facilities and major retail businesses. In addition, the Village has a scenic landscape that combines scenic farmland with a quaint small town. Open Space or parkland within the Village consists of five parks: Cy Hewit Park, Leohr Park; Memorial Park, Stanhope Park and Freeman Park. These five parks represent 4.32% of the Village’s land area (70.9 acres). As part of our parkland, Seville has just under 2 miles of walking and biking trails. We are actively pursuing expanding the Village trail systems. The Village of Seville, Parks and Streets Department takes conservation and pollination into consideration with all decisions. We have been active participants of the Mayor's Monarch Challenge in previous years and have reported on numerous successes, including extensive milk week seeding and planting, as well as creation and maintenance of multiple pollinator flower beds. We have created a show garden in downtown Seville with signage that identifies the pollinator plants and explains how they support monarch and pollinator conservation.
