Town of Selma

Selma, NC

Byron McAllister

Mayor

Pledge Summary

Selma, NC was officially chartered as a Town on February 11, 1873, but the Town’s true birth took place on May 1, 1867. Selma was born as and still is a “Railroad Town,” and our rail heritage is still evident today, with our recently renovated 1924 Union Depot (Selma Union Depot) supporting Amtrak service. The Town of Selma is located at the corner of I-95 and future I-42 (Current US Highway 70) with a growing population of about 7,000. We are working to improve our horticulture operations in the Town of Selma and do our part to improve the environment. We feel taking this Pledge is a great step towards that goal.
