City of Mountain View

Mountain View, CA

Emily Ann Ramos

Mayor

Pledge Summary

The City of Mountain View is looking forward to participating in its fifth year of the Mayor's Monarch Pledge and continuing our efforts to support the monarch population in Mountain View. The City plans to plant pollinators and milkweed in a sensitive habitat area at Shoreline Regional Park. We will also continue to maintain the existing pollinator habitats that have been planted in recent years through having volunteers remove invasive weeds and replace any dead plants. The City will also continue our Seed Library Program where pollinator seeds are provided to the library from the various pollinator habitats that have been created. Lastly, Mountain View will continue the process of creating a Biodiversity and Urban Forestry Plan that is expected to be completed in 2026.
