Pledge Summary

Union is a small village 60 miles northwest of Chicago. We are home to the Illinois Railroad Museum and McHenry County Historical Society. The pollinator gardens add much charm and beauty to our village. We are excited to see the gardens grow and also to see the Monarch population grow.

Program and Demonstration Gardens ▸

Plant or maintain a monarch and pollinator-friendly demonstration garden at City Hall or another prominent or culturally significant community location.
Display educational signage at monarch gardens and pollinator habitat.

Systems Change ▸

Reduce or eliminate the use of herbicides, pesticides, or other chemicals that are harmful to monarchs and pollinators and urban wildlife.
