City of Prairie Village

Prairie Village, KS

Eric Mikkelson

Mayor

Pledge Summary

Prairie Village, Kansas is an inner-ring suburb of the Kansas City metropolitan area with a population of approximately 22,000. The city sits just inside of the Kansas state line. Known for its prominent tree canopy and many parks, Prairie Village has always focused on promoting its environment for the betterment of and enjoyment by the public. As a continuation to these efforts, Mayor Mikkelson, in partnership with the City's Environmental Committee, is committing to expand our efforts in this space by signing the Mayor's Monarch Pledge to protect monarchs, local pollinators, and their habitats in our city.
